In 1983, Mohammed and Jamila Ismail took their food service experience and opened one of Chicago’s first fast food restaurants using Zabiha halal meat. Their goal was simple—create a space where first-generation kids and families could enjoy American Italian classics like pizza and gyros, made 100% halal.
